Family-We are both from semi-big families. Dan is 1 of 4 kids, and Casey is 1 of 5 kids. Casey's mom is 1 of 12, so Dan is still getting used to the large Irish-Catholic family parties.

Work-Dan works at APC, and Casey is a 4th grade teacher.

Interests- We both enjoy family, tennis, reading, beer, and baseball. Casey enjoys running or working out while Dan would rather spend time on his computer.

Newlywed Year

Well, Dan and I are going on our first year of marriage here in Austin, Texas. We were married on November 26th, 2005 in St. Louis. The wedding and reception were beautiful, thanks to much planning by my mom and some help from Dan and me when we were able to fly into town to take care of some of the details. The wedding was held at Eliot Chapel, and the reception was held at Sheraton Lake Chalet at Westport in a gorgeous room overlooking the lake. The reception started with a cocktail hour and moved to the main ballroom for a formal dinner...the pictures attached on the website will show some highlights of the wedding including the church, cocktail hour, dinner, the band, and the honeymoon.

We spent part of our Christmas in St. Louis and the New Year was spent on the beach about 3 hours southwest of Austin.

In January, Dan received a new position at work: software engineer for APC. I don't understand much about computers, but he seems to enjoy his job :) We also bought a house at the end of January in a suburb of Austin called Round Rock. We have enjoyed filling it, but still have a long way to go and many empty rooms. So far, the master bedroom is finished, Dan's office is finished, and we have one of our guest bedrooms furnished. So come visit! We have room! I also talked Dan into buying a formal dining room set so that we have more room for dinner.

I spent part of my spring break in St. Louis for my twin sister, Erin's baby shower.

I survived through my first year of teaching here in Austin and gladly took the summer off work to refresh for this school year.

I spent time in South Padre and Port Aransas this summer. Dan and I also spent two weeks in St. Louis.

Summer is over, and we're both back at work!

Traveling!

We are both hoping to spend these next few years traveling during vacation time. I have always loved to travel, and I am trying to pass this along to Dan. We were able to take a cruise to the Florida Keys and Cozumel a couple years ago, took a couple side trips to Chicago and Austin (before moving here) and we spent our Honeymoon in St. Martin (highly recommended!). However, most of our traveling time has been spent taking frequent trips to St. Louis to visit family and friends. This summer we are hoping to get over to Europe, spending most of our time in Ireland. Hopefully, we can work this into our schedule. I also have to take Dan to Colorado during the winter or spring to teach him how to ski, my favorite sport, and one I hope he can pick up :)

Baby!

Dan and I have a new niece (from Erin and Tom). Her name is Elizabeth Shannon. She was born on June 22, 2006, weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounce. She is now almost three months old and adorable. I am her godmother and my brother, Kyle, is her godfather.
